“This is such a wonderful home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

We appreciated how the home felt very high quality, had a wonderful spacious living area, an excellent kitchen, and provided amazing views and outdoor spaces. We also loved how private the home was, it felt like a peaceful and magical treehouse. The linen service was very nice, with all sheets and towels feeling hotel quality and clean. That being said, the duvets don't seem to be included in that and did not seem as clean, I think this home would benefit from having higher quality and cleaner bedding in addition to the sheets provided by the linen service, but it wasn’t an issue for us as we brought our own blankets. The bathrooms and kitchen were spotless, and basic cleaning had clearly been done, but this home needs some deeper cleaning completed. There are a huge amount of significant cobwebs in corners and on ceilings in each room, and we counted 8 daddy long legs spiders living on the ceilings in the bedrooms and bathrooms. This didn’t impact our stay much as we were not bothered by the spiders and cobwebs, but I do think that some people would be bothered and this should be addressed periodically. Additionally, the exterior of the house needs to be cleaned of cobwebs and dead bugs especially in the warmer months as people are using the windows and doors. The outdoor furniture was covered in webs, spiders, and bugs and my husband spent an hour cleaning it all off so we could use it freely. I would absolutely stay here again and overall had a wonderful experience, but there are some cleaning items that would be appropriate for the quality and price of this home.

The property

Korora, named for the Little Blue penguins that are local to the region, is an architecturally-designed "treehouse" nestled in and above the native bush. Marvel at stunning views of the golden sands of Kaiteriteri beach and bay, the Richmond Range, Kina Cliffs and Tasman Bay. Korora has unbeatable location, with stunning beaches at Kaiteriteri and Breakers Bay a scenic 10-15 minute walk down through native bush via a well-worn track that brings you out to the Kaiteriteri waterfront and beach. Korora is wrapped with two covered and one uncovered decks, with stunning views and seamless indoor-outdoor flow for summer months! Enjoy the peaceful serenity at Korora, while still being less than a 5-minute drive from the local store, cafes and bars! The keen fisherman can catch brown trout from the nearby Riwaka and Motueka rivers, and even bring them back to cook on the BBQ for dinner! Round off your stay at Korora by visiting the spectacular limestone caves on the Takaka Hill, and of course a famous Golden Bay vineyard!

Please note that there is a ripple control hot water system at this property.

Korora shares a driveway with Kaiteri House which can be found by searching 'Kaiteri House'.
