Tom “It was a unique and welcoming house with all the amenities a family could need.”
Plenty of rooms and bedroom combinations, excellent washing/drying machines and a dishwasher too! The towels and bedding all felt and smelt crisp clean and fresh. The view from the upper bedroom was idyllic. We had a wonderful stay - thank you!

Monica “The house was well positioned and the kitchen was well provisioned.”
However The bed in the sleep out was not comfortable. The curtains are in need of replacement.
- Monica, March 2024Jaimee “House had everything we needed in a home was clean warm met expectations.”
Walking downhill to town 5min walk would suggest uber back to house because those hills are burn for days
- Jaimee, November 2023Amanda “Great property for our family of 5, close to town and it was good to have the BBQ.”
Thanks for having SKY TV so we could watch the rugby! **Recommend*.
- Amanda, October 2023Sue “This was an easy, convenient and comfortable place to stay for our group and well priced.”
Would definitely stay here again.
- Sue, October 2023Iain “Probably much better in summer than mid-winter when we were there; we felt that one of the rooms was a little damp and the two downstairs bedrooms really needed more than than just electric blankets.”
However, while the house is rather dated for the amount charged, we found the beds and sofas were very comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed, there are some lovely views, and we appreciated the off-street car parking. We also had no problem with the spiral staircase which was as described.

Rainer “Lovely charming home with lots of character.”
Warm and cosy, perfect place to unwind after a long day of skiing. Well equipped and great location near the centre of town. We had 7 beds made up which was perfect for our group. Would stay here again!
- Rainer, September 2022Libby “The house had plenty of character.”
It was warm and walking distance to town. Beautiful views of the lake and a great homely feel. Would stay here again.
- Libby, July 2021Michael “Overall a very lovely stay, we really enjoyed our time here.”
Breakfasts on the deck were sensational
- Michael, February 2019Steve “Great location and a unique house.”
All the facilities you need, privacy and space.
- Steve, February 2019Perry “Great bach with everything we needed and plenty of character.”
Unfortunately young people in the rental next door were drinking outside and noisy until the early hours of the morning which impacted our experience a little.
- Perry, January 2019Hi Perry, thank you so much for your feedback! We are so sorry that the neighbours affected an otherwise lovely stay. If this ever happens in future your Holiday Manager is always able to contact noise control or the building manager on your behalf! Bachcare
Victoria “Lovely old batch that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.”
Internet was excellent! Easy walk into town. Very noisy people in the batch next door, but they were also renting so I am sure this was a one off. Property Manager was lovely and very accomodating with any requests we had. Thank you Faye
- Victoria, November 2018Hi Victoria, it's fantastic to hear you enjoyed the Bach! We are so sorry to hear that the neighbours were noisy and hope they were not too disruptive. Bachcare
Matthew “Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the property - interesting design and nik-naks.”
- Matthew, October 2018Alice “The house was old fashioned but very well equipped, comfortable and spacious.”
Lots of kiwi Bach character! Stairs to upstairs were pretty dodgy but we just slept our children downstairs and told them not to climb them so all was fine. Nice and warm with the heat pumps and electric blankets.
- Alice, August 2018Thank you for your feedback! You'll be happy to see that the stairs are both pictured and mentioned on the listing, and have a handrail installed for guest safety. We love the character of this house too, and we're glad you were nice and toasty. Hope to see you again soon! Bachcare
