“There was no issue with the property.”
Clean and exactly as described. It started with no hot water in the morning. Although it was resolved (could have been avoided easily) it was annoying, considering the price of the house per night! At 10:30 the power was cut, I drove down the road and was told by neighbours and other locals that the powercut was notified, well in advance, for this area. The owner chose to not tell anyone!! We left the house for the day as it was useless to us. Returning late afternoon ,power was still cut. No ...

We left the house for the day as it was useless to us. Returning late afternoon ,power was still cut. No one could tell us for how much longer. My brother and his wife , visiting from overseas left to find another hotel in town. That part of the holiday was ruined. I took a long time, numerous phone calls and emails to get a small amount of refund. Very disappointing experience.

I got a number of different emails that said different things about whether or not cleaning was included (even though we had paid extra for this); and whether or not linen was included. Not really the property owner's fault, but something bachcare needs to sharpen up on. It was also a bit of a surprise to find someone was living the downstairs of the Bach. Probably should have let us know to expect this. But the house itself was beautiful and superbly appointed .

Other than that, the stay was perfect! Beautiful house and well-equipped, handy to the lake and a beautiful jetty that provided the perfect swimming spot. Will be back for sure

The coffee machine was a bonus! The only downside was that the only heating in the living area is a wood burner, which none of our guests were comfortable lighting. Otherwise, the perfect spot to get ready for our wedding and with a lovely view of the lake. We would definitely stay again if the occasion arises.

Very welcoming and we loved staying. However, felt that it was missing some information to help with check-in. There was one tiny bin which we filled within 10 minutes but no information on where to take the rubbish. No wheelie bins or larger bins was frustrating considering how large the house is and how many people it holds. We had to call bachcare to find out what to do with the rubbish (drive it to bins 10 minutes away). Also the internet was not working and did not work for the duration of the stay.

We were very pleasantly surprised. The house location is perfect for walks, swimming and MTB access and is very well presented. The fire was ready to be lit and the coffee machine is an auto professional grade machine. We had a few special requests re Linen, checkout and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again.

This home has everything we needed and more, lots of space, view of the lake lovely. A nice and quiet area. Fireplace was lovely, and rooms warmed well with the heaters. Kitchen lovely and big. We will be back, and hope to come back in summer to enjoy the lake and surroundings! Stunning home.

The photos don't do the property justice - it is much bigger and luxurious than it appears on the website! Very close to the lake and great views! The only negative was that there wasn't enough firewood. We did raise this with the property manager who said he would look into it but never got back to us. At such a cold time of year with young children this wasn't ideal. We ended up collecting our own wood from home as we had to go back home to feed the cows anyway.

We had an absolutely amazing stay here at this fantastic property. The location was incredible, an easy walking distance to lake okareka, and the views of the lake were stunning. There was plenty of room for all of us and we loved the outdoor living, with several decks and an outdoor fire. The place was modern and clean and very well stocked with kitchenware etc. which made our life easy. We were sad to leave and are hoping to come back again next year!

Modern, clean, spacious and a stunning view across the lake! We loved the large living areas - a space for the kids and a space for grown ups. The wood burner kept us toasty and warm in the evenings. The bach was incredibly well equipped. We lived our stay and will be back again without a doubt!

The spacious and comfortable living area is open plan with easy indoor/outdoor flow for cruisy summer stays... relax on the front deck for BBQ's with lake views, or the rear patio area and private garden is a lovely spot to sit back and unwind! There are 4 bedrooms at this Lake Okareka accommodation. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a King bed, while bedrooms 2 and 3 are each fitted with a queen bed and bedroom 4 has 2 single bunk sets and to pullout beds. There is an ensuite bathroom in each of the 3 kind / queen bedrooms to complete your holiday set up. This is an amazing location for a serene lake escape... the set up allows an easy stay for 3 couples or a family to get away from it all. Find your favourite vantage point to kick back and take in the peace and quiet, or head out to explore with the waters edge just moments from your door. There is a self-contained unit downstairs with its own entrance. This is not available to guests and is occupied by a permanent tenant.
