“Property is tired, smells bad and at $400 a night (including the cleaning and towel fee) is overpriced.”
There were lots of cobwebs. No access to the garage (despite the instructions saying it would be unlocked) meant we couldn't use the kayaks. No reference to the fire, although we contacted Bachcare to check we could use it - and did. One bed had only one sheet - managed to find another one to remake the bed. The outlook was just lovely however, and the fire was worth a trip to buy firelighters and kindling.

The place is a bit tired, especially the bathroom, but generally we had a great time. The outlook can't be beat. Nice and quiet, but just a short drive to town. We'll be back.

Andy “OK, but could be better.”
The property is let down in a few areas. It felt like our stay was right on the back of another group, and the cleaners didn't do a proper job. There were a lot of cobwebs in the rooms, dirty linen in the closet of one bedroom and a dirty pillow case in the bathtub. There was no dishwashing liquid and only two toilet rolls to be found. The recycling bin was full and the rubbish not far from it. The property would also benefit from a bit of TLC. The pots and pans were below standard - badly scratched nonstick pans, or the pans that weren't nonstick being clearly misused and burnt to the point where you will never get them clean. Only one half of the BBQ would light, it didn't even seem that gas was flowing on the grill side. Not that it made any difference - it was so filthy that I wouldn't have dreamed of cooking on it. The deck was rotten in places and the outdoor furniture needs a clean, if not replacing. It is also worth noting that water quality in the lake should be checked if you think you might enjoy a swim in the lake. No one's fault, but our visit was timed with toxic algal blooms in the lake.

Stacey “The house was in a good handy location with beautiful views of the lake which we enjoyed.”
Kayaks were nice to have. Living area & kitchen were spacious & comfortable, couches & beds comfortable too. However house & carpet needs a deep clean, mould in bathrooms & bedrooms & lots of spiders & bugs. Bbq didn't light & was very dirty, dryer kept stopping so didn't dry the clothes at all,a clothes rack would be handy. Overall a nice stay, just a few improvements needed.

Lee “When we arrived we did not realise that one of the fence panels had fallen onto the driveway.”
It had a large nail sticking up which we drove over and punctured our tyre on. The house is in a lovely spot with the lake on its doorstep. However, it is very tired and needs renovating. The oven was dirty and the people who clean the property do not do it properly as around the taps was a ring of dirt from not being cleaned properly for months. The windows needed a good clean inside and out. The dryer did not work.

Kylan “Awesome stay with my 3 kids.”
We had an absolutely amazing time enjoying the fireplace and making use of the kayaks. Only couple minor issues the carpet in the sunroom has no rubber grip underneath so slides along the tiles. The BBQ has not been cleaned in a long time and also only a couple of burners work. We are excited to come back. Dryer also appears to randomly turn off but works ok if you use the super dry option.

We were disappointed to find no kitchen necessities like salt pepper or tea, not enough tablets for dishwasher either. The house wasnt very clean so doesn’t justifies the price of cleaning fees. As cleaning company owners we expected a spotless home for the amount paid on cleaning fees. This didnt affected our stay at all. The dryer doesnt work longer than 5min, and doesn’t dry clothes… We would definitely come back ! The house is spacious and has amazing views!

Was very disappointed with this place from the photos being far from accurate to how the property looks to unwashed moldy dishwasher full of old unclean dishes along with the ones in the draws lawns being overgrowen vacuum having no spear bags and was full at the time with a hole in it the place seems to be very unkempt, I'm still waiting on some goods to be sent back to me that were accidentally left behind all in all it was a very disappointing stay

Use of the kayaks is a bonus. We found the property more run down than appears in the photos, and in need of t.l.c.

The rotting floor and wall panels in the bathroom were unpleasant and the bedrooms were barren and lacked any pictures, mirrors, bedside lamps etc. However the kitchen is great and the living areas are pleasant and cosy. Hopefully the owners will make the small improvements needed to the bathrooms and bedrooms to improve them too. Thanks for having us.

The property
