As a manual wheelchair user, it is always a bit daunting going somewhere which states it is 'accessible', but the beautiful property we stayed in really was accessible. I was able to manoeuvre myself in, out and around the property independently, including showering. My only issues were: the bed (in the room next to the bathroom with the accessible shower) was very high, and I struggled to get in and out of it, and I couldn't reach to hang my clothes in the wardrobe, so they stayed in my suitcase. The shower stool was good because it had handles at the side, though if it had been a shower chair with a back, I would have felt safer in it. Having a draining rack at the side of the sink would have been helpful. However, everything else was great, and we had a really lovely stay in Wanaka.
