Visit Orewa Beach

Explore Orewa Estuary
The Orewa Estuary is known for its seaside trail made for walking or cycling. This family friendly walkway trails through bushes and parks with plenty of wildlife to be spotted as you go through the walkway. The easy path is perfect for beginner cyclists or if you’re travelling with kids.
At the start of the path, you’ll come across one of New Zealand’s best skate parks, the Orewa Skate Park. If skateboarding or scootering is your thing, you can grab a coffee at the Estuary Arts Centre while taking in the cultural aspect of the area. The walkway is easily accessible with plenty of parking, public toilets and cafes/restaurants to fuel you up as you go. It’s the perfect family getaway in Orewa.

Getting to Your Orewa Accommodation
To get to your Orewa holiday home is quite easy if you’re coming from Auckland. If you’re driving, it’s simply a matter of hopping on State Highway 1 northwards. Driving from Auckland only takes around 30-35 minutes to get to Orewa.
Alternatively, if you don’t have a car, you could also take a bus to Orewa. You could hop on the NX1 and then the 985 bus from Auckland. Public transport would take you approximately 1.5 hours to get to Orewa. If you’d like to travel quicker, you could look into shuttle buses with prices ranging from $8 - $12.
